Imam Ali’s Popular Students Relief Society (IAPSRS) is a non-governmental organization which was founded in 1999 with the objective of extending assistance to the needy people and in particular to women and children suffering of various social issues like deprivation, hunger, lack of educational facilities, child labor, women heads of household, unemployment, addiction consequences, and relief works in special situations such as natural and man-made disasters. All of the members of IAPSRS are volunteers and lots of them are university students and teachers. Also, all the expanses of the activities of the NGO are donated by the benefactors and university students.
IAPSRS is also in consultative status from UN-ECOSOC. Since 2010, the NGO has gathered its endeavor to do international relief works and expand activities of IAPSRS to outside of the boundaries of Iran by relying on its facilities and opportunities. Some international works of IAPSRS are food program for children in Kenya, relief works in Pakistan flood, facilitating free education for more than 1000 Afghan refugee children in Iran who were deprived of education and some other programs which are under study to start in the near future.
They invited us to provide a presentation for their volunteers who are on the field and working with women and children.
